Farm at Water’s Edge is a long-range vision for the Salmon Center campus that brings together food, land, people, and salmon. The plan outlines how the farm can grow as a place for education, restoration, and community connection—while staying rooted in working agriculture and conservation.
At its core, the project shows how farming, habitat restoration, and public access can coexist. The plan includes expanded walking trails, clearer wayfinding, new gathering spaces, and a future Welcome Center that supports education programs, events, and on-site food production. Visitors can learn about salmon habitat, local food systems, native plants, land and water stewardship, and the role people play in keeping these systems healthy.
More than a site plan, Farm at Water’s Edge is about creating a welcoming place where the community can walk, learn, grow food, care for the land, and better understand the connection between healthy ecosystems and healthy people.
